SAIF is the premiere animation festival in the southeastern United States, attracting animation buffs, cartoon fans, filmmakers and art lovers from around the world. We are proud to showcase some of the world's best independent, professional and student animation in all genres and themes of each here in the beautiful jewel of the south Savannah, Georgia.

Lecture and Presentation 

Joan Vogelesang, President and CEO of Toon Boom Animation will be giving a special lecture and presentation where she will introduce participants to her award-winning company and offerings as well as address the global animation industry challenges and opportunities.

Women in Animation Panel

Ms. Vogelesang will also be taking part in a Women In Animation panel, along with contemporaries; Lucilla Hoshor - President Women in Animation - Southeast, Professor, 2D Animation Production, Acting for Animators; Cheryl Cabrera - Professor, 3D Animation, University of Central Florida, School of Visual Arts and Design, Author, "An Essential Introduction to Maya Character Rigging"; Nancy Miles, Co-Founder, Savannah International Animation Festival. She is the Co-Owner and Vice President of Hal Miles Imagimation Studios; Deborah Gonzlez - Intellectual property attorney focusing on art & entertainment law and social media & digital law in New York and Georgia; Alessandra Hoshor - Experimental Film maker “Context Clues” and co-owner of Little Beasts Gallery.

Workshop

Lucilla Hoshor will be giving a workshop on Animate Pro on Toon Boom's behalf. Ms.Hosher is Profeesor of Animation at Savannah College of Art and Design. She teaches Animate Pro in her courses  and is considered to be a true champion.
