SCAD The Game Design Camp

Toon Boom is co-hosting a Game Design Camp in Atlanta, Georgia in July for students aged 12-15.

"The camp will combining the expertise and prestige of SCAD with the outstanding products and faculty from Toon Boom Animation and Ubisoft, the SCAD Game Design Camp offers an educational adventure in game design for students ages 12-15. To simulate game production as approached in the professional field, teams of students are directed through industry processes, in order to construct a board game from start to finish. Students discover creative methods via brainstorming, interactive practice and teamwork. After this weeklong camp, students gain a familiarity with game design software, 2-D technology, and specialized equipment used in the game design industry."

The camp will be held at the SCAD Digital Media Center.

SCAD's Digital Media Center

Located at 1611 W. Peachtree St., the SCAD Digital Media Center houses all majors in SCAD's School of Film, Digital Media and Performing Arts*, including but not limited to animation, film and television, interactive design and game development, and visual effects. With state of the art technology, including a professional grade television studio with industry standard green screen and computer labs with both Macs and PCs, Cintiq monitors, and the most updated software, SCAD's Digital Media Center serves as an outstanding resource for SCAD students as they develop their creative vision within an exemplary film and digital media space.
