Toon Boom Animation is pleased to host a breakfast meeting, to give a unique opportunity for key industry and educational players from California and beyond to connect. Toon Boom has invited Don Levy as a keynote speaker, considering his excellent reputation in the industry and active role in academic animation circles. Lilly Vogelesang will showcase real success stories that are inspiring and encouraging for the animation industry.

We are confident this session will be extremely productive for everyone involved.

In an era when technology pervades education, from the formative years onwards, educating students to prepare them for careers in Arts and Technology has become more challenging, rather than less. Focusing on creativity and content creation can be overshadowed by learning technology. * Don Levy is a visiting scholar at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. He is also starting a new venture in family entertainment. Until June of 2012 he was senior vice president of marketing and communications for Sony Pictures Digital. A keen observer on the forefront of the digital transformation of Hollywood, he has more than 30 years of experience in and around motion picture production, animation, visual effects, and the creation of digital media. During his 17 years at Sony Pictures Imageworks, he was instrumental in the formation of its academic outreach and has been heavily involved both professionally and personally in academic communities and issues.
