As a busyness man, founding my own cartoon animation company, Mol Toons. As an animator, creating and directing Jajá Arara Rara.
Until the release of Animate Pro, I had been interested in Toon Boom but never made the jump. Because Animate Pro added capabilities that I had become more and more interested in and because Flash continued to not support animation for television or film use I made the jump and have loved it every since.
No. I also use Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator and Premiere.

2D animation
Paperless pose-to-pose animation and cut-out animation. It is something like the limited animation used by Hanna and Barbera mixed with full animation scenes.
All the features together make the animation process faster and the results have more quality. The software increases the creative possibilities in art direction and animation style. I think that drawing in Toon Boom gets the animation in a higher quality level.
In Toon Boom Animate Pro I'm able to work almost all the animation steps in the same software, witch makes the process faster.
Yes. I used to draw all the animation poses in Illustrator or Photoshop and then to compose it in After Effects. That way was too complicated to see if the animation was working. Now, the animation seems more fluid, taking me less time to accomplish the job.
I don't think so. Flash works in a similar way, but I don't trust it's output. Actually, Flash is a software developed for web design, while Toon Boom is developed specifically for animation, witch makes it way more trustable. And working the way I used to (Illustrator + After Effects) takes too much time.
Very pleased... and happy.
I've spent a month watching the tutorials, reading the user guide. Then I had a week long seminar provided by the Toon Boom team.
